Our Story

Soya Athens Kyoto was born from a simple yet meaningful idea.

​

While many Japanese people living abroad have chosen to build their lives outside Japan, we wanted to create a place that reflects a deep connection to Japan itself.

At the same time, we felt a strong desire to share the true essence of Japanese food and culture with people in Athens who are interested in and appreciate Japan.

Our goal is to offer an authentic Japanese grocery experience—carefully selecting products that represent Japan faithfully.

For this reason, we do not carry products or recipes influenced by Southeast Asia, China, or Korea, even if they are popular in Japan.

 

We focus only on genuine Japanese items.

From matcha to onigiri, every product is chosen with care to bring a piece of Japan to Athens.

私たちの物語

Soya Athens Kyotoは、シンプルながらも意義深いアイデアから生まれました。

海外で暮らす多くの日本人が日本国外で生活を築く中、私たちは日本との深い繋がりを感じられる場所を作りたいと考えました。

同時に、日本に興味を持ち、日本文化を愛するアテネの人々に、日本の食と文化の真髄を伝えたいという強い思いがありました。

私たちの目標は、日本を忠実に表現する厳選された商品を通して、本格的な日本の食料品店体験を提供することです。

そのため、たとえ日本で人気があっても、東南アジア、中国、韓国の影響を受けた商品やレシピは一切取り扱っていません。

私たちは、正真正銘の日本の商品のみにこだわっています。

抹茶からおにぎりまで、一つ一つの商品が、アテネに日本の息吹を届けるために、心を込めて選ばれています。
